How and when should I change my furnace filter?

For maximum efficiency, your furnace filter should be replaced or cleaned regularly. Clogged filters can cause a unit to malfunction. Watch this video to make sure you’re installing it correctly.

What should I know about my garbage disposal?

Be sure to always turn off the switch before trying to unclog! Food should not be deposited into an inactivated disposal and the unit then turned on. The disposal will provide more effective disposing action if cold water is running and the unit is turned on prior to depositing food into it. When the unit is running, cold water should be used. What do I need to know about my electrical panel?

Most municipal electrical codes now require bathroom and exterior convenience outlets to be wired to breakers which utilize Ground Fault Interrupter Circuits (GFI). These circuits are very sensitive and any undue resistance or overload will trip the breakers. Do not use heavy appliances or more than one appliance at a time on these circuits.
